Finding Meaning
Approach:
I integrate somatic and mindfulness-based approaches, working together with you to identify and address patterns driving your life and relationships. I use a humanistic, non-judgemental approach to meet you wherever you are on your journey.
Who I help:
I work with adolescents (ages 12+) and adults who are ready to break out of old, unsatisfying patterns of negative self-belief, failed relationships, and meaninglessness. Before starting therapy, my clients often report experiencing symptoms like: anxiety, depression, loneliness, hopelessness, grief, or anger. My experiences working with teens and leading men's groups have been particularly influential in my development as a therapist.
How I help:
Starting from a foundation of warmth, non-judgement, and unconditional support, I often incorporate an awareness of what is happening in your body, helping to identify and release your body’s stored memory of tension, fear, and grief. By developing an understanding of how our experiences growing up have shaped who we are today, we can develop an improved sense of compassion for self and others.
What my clients say about working with me:
After time spent working together, my clients commonly report feeling more balanced, grounded, and present in day-to-day life, as well as better able to regulate their emotions. Strengthened relationships and more direction in life are also frequent themes.
Off the clock:
Favorite off-clock pursuits include: skiing, biking the city, reading literature, swimming, camping, running, NBA basketball, birdwatching, walking my dog, and travel.
