Job Summary
Calm Again Counseling is a trauma-focused teaching practice in Noe Valley, San Francisco and online across California.
We are actively looking to hire a licensed therapist/counselor with a desire to grow with us. We are expanding our practice that provides counseling services online and/or in-person.
As a therapist or counselor of our group practice, you will be seeing teen and adult clients dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, anger management issues, substance use issues, life transitions, and more.
This position must be staffed by an individual who is warm, passionate, and works well with a team. The ideal candidate for this role is well versed in trauma-informed practices and ideally have training (or desire for training) in one or more of the following: EMDR, Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS), brainspotting, somatic therapies, etc.
Required Education & Experience
Master’s or Doctorate’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field
Active State of California pre-license or license (LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC, or Clinical Psychologist)
Experience as a therapist/counselor or related field
Clinical experience with individual therapy for adolescents and adults, familiar with clinical implications of; trauma, anxiety, depression, and addiction
Training or interest in EMDR, IFS, Somatic Experiencing (SE), and/or Brainspotting preferred
